In the spring of 1996, as Solid was at its peak in the Calgary original music scene, our singer, Tracey Clark, won an award for her work with the band. She was presented with the 1996 CJAY92 Rock Award for Best Female Vocalist.

One very interesting thing to note about this article, is who Tracey was competing against in the Best Female Vocalist category. It was none other than Leslie Feist!
